It’s been a week since I have been in this quaint little town of Bournemouth. I have endless stories to share from the last week and so does my Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, and Whatsapp.
The moment I stepped out of my house in Mumbai, I started capturing everything on my phone. From the ride to the airport to meals on the plane, suddenly it all seemed worthy of being posted on social media. I could sense the anatomy of my phone change. It transformed into a camera with Instagram as its heart and WiFi as oxygen.
As soon as there was any WiFi connectivity my cell phone’s heart would start beating. New images and captions started marching out on to my feed. Just like the summer here, the comments and likes started pouring in. My phone had difficulties coping, but it never failed me at clicking pictures!
It’s been a week now. All that frantic posting from the first tree to the first pub has taken a back seat. Now I make calls as well. My camera has regained its purpose in life.
But who knows? Things might change again. Our visits to Stonehenge and London are still pending!
